Description
Kranjska Gora is a Slovenian ski resort situated in a narrow valley amongst the cheapest skiing holidays in Slovenia with some of the cheapest hotels for skiing in Europe, located between the Julian Alps and the Karavanke in the northwestern part of Slovenia, yet very close to the borders with Austria and Italy.
The ski resort of Kranjska Gora has 30km of pistes which are accessible by 16 lifts. The resort lies between 800m and 1,623m in altitude, and both beginners and progressing skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the gentle slopes and forestry trails of Kranjska Gora’s Mojstrana, Gozd Martuljek, and Planina pod Golico,
Advanced skiers and snowboarders will find the Podkoren trail is a bit more demanding. Here, the best skiers in the world compete annually for the Vitranc Trophy in the World Cup men’s giant slalom and slalom events.
